Bailey Lustic
News Producer Bailey Lustic is a senior studying media communication and English, graduating in May. This is his fourth and final semester as part of UT:10 News. He also works as a camera operator and production worker for ESPN. He graduated from Toledo Early College High School in 2016, where he earned 61 college credits from the University of Toledo. He joined Zeta Phi Eta in fall 2018 and is currently Vice President of Operations. He is also part of two honors fraternities, Lambda Pi Eta for communication and Sigma Tau Delta for English. After graduation, he would love to see himself as a videographer or producer, whether in news or entertainment. Outside the newsroom, Bailey enjoys gaming and spending time with friends. Isaac Petkac
News/Sports Producer Isaac Petkac is a Junior from Edinboro, PA who is in his second semester of producing and third overall in UT:10. He has been involved with numerous broadcasting jobs on campus, including calling games for ESPN3 productions at UT. In addition, he is currently employed with BCSN, West Ohio Sports Network, and is the public address announcer for Toledo Rocket sporting events. Isaac also is interning with the Columbus Blue Jackets of the NHL. Last summer he served as the play by play broadcaster for the Pierre Trappers in the Expedition League. In his free time, you can find him involved with choir groups on campus and singing at his local church. Jake Plagens
Graphics Coodinator Jake Plagens is a Junior from North Royalton, OH majoring in Media Communication, and is in his third semester as the Graphics Coordinator. Jake has enjoyed sports since he was a kid and decided to turn his passion into a career. He has been on the Production Crew for ESPN for Toledo Rockets Athletics since August 2017, as well as the Akron RubberDucks (Double-A Affiliate of the Cleveland Indians) since March 2019. He also does Broadcasting and has been on the call for many Rockets Athletics events on ESPN and WXUT Toledo 88.3 FM, where he also has his own talk show. He joined Zeta Phi Eta in Fall 2019, and likes to spend his free time playing and watching sports, listening to music, or cooking. Student Reporter Normandie Berl is a sophomore, Media Communication and Marketing student. Her career focus is sports broadcasting and sideline reporting. She is involved in Kappa Delta, Pi Sigma Epsilon, Bridge, and serves as a MMJ for UT:10 News. In her free time, Normandie loves playing semi-professional beach volleyball. Isarel Dennis
Student Reporter Isarel Dennis is a junior Media Communication major from Rockwood,Michigan. Outside of her studies, she plays and writes music. Isarel is a self-proclaimed nerd who loves video-games, Marvel, DC Comics, and is a cosplayer. She enjoys traveling and trying new things and food. She also loves traveling to follow her favorite band, Twenty One Pilots. Her goal is to someday is to work in the gaming media and nerd news fields. Gillian Martin
Student Reporter Gillian Martin is a senior, Media Communications major and Theatre minor from Sylvania, Ohio. Her concentration is in broadcast journalism and acting. She is a member of the Society of Professional Journalists and Alpha Psi Omega; UT’s theatre fraternity. Student Reporter Sarah McRitchie is a senior Media Communication major focusing on multimedia journalism. She is a member of the Society of Professional Journalists and is the Digital News Assistant Producer for UT:10 News this semester, working with our reporters to optimize their broadcast stories for online articles and video content. She is also in charge of UT:10’s social media presence and audience engagement. Sarah she sees herself working in the news industry in the future, covering the politics or media beat. Zain Omair
Student Reporter Zain Omair is a senior studying Media Communication. Born in Toledo and raised in Michigan, she is excited to be back for her second semester of UT:10. In addition to reporting, Zain also serves as the Station Manager for 88.3 WXUT, works on the UT ESPN crew, and is a member of the executive board for Zeta Phi Eta. In the future, Zain would love to work either as a news producer or in sports media. When she’s not in the newsroom or at school, Zain enjoys going to concerts, going on weekend road trips around the Midwest, and hanging out with family and friends. Student Reporter Kait Pence is a junior Media Communication major from Livonia, Michigan. This is her first semester as a student reporter for UT10 News.
