Alexis Wheatley
News Producer


Alexis Wheatley is a senior who will graduate this December. She is an New Student Orientation Leader, a Summer Scholars Peer Mentor, a part of Toledo’s Live Truck Crew and the Marketing Director for her sorority Chi Omega. She has a love for animals, her family, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. She would love to see herself either working in news, sports broadcasting or even as an event planner specializing in weddings. Justin is a Senior majoring in Media Communications. Since coming to Toledo his biggest passion has been television production and sports. Justin originally wanted to do radio broadcasting but fell in love with television production once he stepped in a news studio. His biggest goal for this semester is to perfect his directing skills and help  other reporters find joy in covering and shooting sports, even if it's not their strength. To contact Justin, you can email him at

Marla Gootee is currently a senior at the University of Toledo majoring in Media Communications and minoring in Marketing. Her hometown is Temperance, Michigan and she is a graduate of Bedford Senior High School. She is very involved on and off-campus with leadership roles in both Zeta Phi Eta and Lambda Pi Eta as well as an internship with UT News and a part-time job. After graduation, Marla either hopes to further her education and pursue a graduate degree or explore different job opportunities within the media industry. Laycee Horn is a senior studying Media Communication at the University of Toledo. Laycee is a Toledo native and alumni of Sylvania Southview High School.
During her college career she has had internships at Susan G Komen and the Juice 107.3. She also a proud member of of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Samantha is a senior at the University of Toledo and will be graduating is the spring of 2019 with a degree in communications. She plans to go on to be a flight attendant before pursing her career in communications. For the past three years Samantha has been working as a waitress to fund her way through college. She hopes UT:10 will teach her and prepare her in her future career. She enjoys working out, shopping for new clothes and reminding everyone to live their best life. Zachary Johnston

Zachary Johnston is a Senior majoring in Media Communication and is expected to graduate in December. Zach is originally from Southern California and a former collegiate football player. Zach was a News and Sports intern at Toledo 13 ABC Action News. In addition to being a UT 10 Reporter, Zach is also a part of UT’s ESPN3 Production Crew and has worked for Monday Night Football as part of the Production Crew. Zach hopes to land his dream job at ESPN or NFL Network as a Sports Reporter, Analyst, or work at a news station after Graduation. Kaylee Loofbourrow

Kaylee is a senior majoring in Media Communication and minoring in Criminal Justice. Along with being a student reporter, she is involved with organizations ranging from Levis Leadership UT to 1girl. The ability to write and share others’ stories and provide a platform for their voices that not only affects but impacts communities on multiple levels is something that not only interests her but provides her with a sense of belonging that has been growing for as long as she can remember. Originally thinking she was going to concentrate in print journalism, the summer before freshman year of college, Kaylee realized that she enjoyed broadcasting just as much and found out that the love of the pen also became a love of the camera. Interested in multiple disciplines, Kaylee has found herself becoming versatile in her skills and experience. Having written for the Odyssey Online for two years, she also has gained insight working with UT’s ESPN truck crew on numerous productions for the past three semesters. Post graduating, Kaylee wants to work locally, or branch farther out to work with E! News or Good Morning America. Bailey Lustic is a junior at The University of Toledo, majoring in both media communications and film. He graduated from Toledo Early College High School in 2016, where he earned 61 college credits from UT. Outside the newsroom, Bailey enjoys gaming, hanging out with friends, and cuddles with his dog, Ally. His favorite color is neon green and his favorite food is birthday cake. Nick Rogoff

Rachel Schneider

Nick Rogoff is a student at the University of Toledo with a major in Communications and a minor in marketing. His focus is broadcasting and social media marketing. Being a reporter has not always been something he has wanted to do, but the opportunity could be a big one. He is in his senior year, and is looking to get his career started after graduation in the spring. Rachel is a senior studying Media Communications and Legal Specialties. On campus, she has been involved in the women's fitness group CHAARG and the award-winning Mock Trial team. Rachel has interned with the UT Athletic Communications department, and works on the live television production crew for various Rockets sporting events. Outside of school, Rachel loves performing in local theatre productions, and has studied acting at Jeff Daniel's Purple Rose Theatre Company. Reid Teatsorth is a Media Communications major and Men's Tennis player at the University of Toledo who will graduate in the spring of 2019. Reid is in his first semester working with UT10 news, and also is part of the team for WXUT Sports Radio, the ESPN3 Crew at the university, an athletic communications intern with the University of Toledo, as well as a Video Production Assistant for the Toledo Mud Hens. Kameran is a fourth year senior & will be graduating May of 2019. She is majoring in Media Communications. She went to Stivers School for the Arts in her hometown, Dayton, Ohio, where she focused on creative writing. Since a young age she has had a passion for writing & was awarded honorable mention for her poetry collection from Scholastics. Her career goal is to become a television producer & produce her own t.v show. Kameran has an interest in all aspects of communications.
