Kristen Rosendale
Student Producer


Kristen, the student producer for UT:10 News, is a Senior double major in Spanish and Communication with a focus in broadcasting.  She is from Dayton, Ohio and has held two internship positions; one as a News Intern for WDTN-TV in Dayton, Ohio during the summer of 2012 and the other as a Production Intern for WGTE Public Media in Toledo, Ohio during the Spring semester of 2013. She has also had the opportunity to study abroad in Madrid, Spain and is a 4th year member of the Phi Alpha chapter of Delta Delta Delta. Upon graduation in May 2014, Kristen plans to pursue a career as a News or Sports reporter.

Brandan Carnes
Student Assistant Producer / Show Director


Brandan, the Director and Assistant Producer for UT:10 News, is a Junior majoring in Communication with a focus in Broadcasting.  Brandan is a Toledo native who graduated from Whitmer High School.  Alongside his work with UT:10, he has done production work for the Department of Communication, including working on production of "Overtime," produced for BCSN in the UT television studio.  He is also a commentator at WXUT for all home Rocket football games. Over the summer he hopes to do an internship with the Toledo Speedway, helping with social media and other race-day activities.

Nadine Armoush
Student Reporter


Nadine is from Tampa, Florida and is a Senior majoring in Communication with a focus in broadcasting.  She is an original member and Treasurer of Zeta Phi Eta, as well as the Treasurer of the Muslim Students Association.  Nadine is also an active member of Students Justice for Palestine and is on the Social Committee for The Islamic Center of Greater Toledo.  She is bilingual in English and Arabic, is an experienced world-traveler, and has previously lived in Doha, Qatar.  In the summer, Nadine is hoping to attain multiple internships and upon graduation in December of 2014, she plans to pursue a career as a News Reporter.

Zeinab was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio, and is currently a junior at the University of Toledo majoring in Communication.

Darius Copeland
Student Reporter


Darius is a senior majoring in Communication, with an emphasis in broadcasting, and a minor in Japanese.  In the Fall 2014, Darius is going to study abroad as an exchange student at Aichi University in Japan.  In addition to being a Reporter for UT:10 News this semester, he is also writing for the UTesports organization.  In the future, Darius hopes to be a writer in sports, music, or news, possibly even in Japanese.  His motto is that “anything is possible, you just have to apply yourself.”

Natasha Gordon
Student Reporter

Natasha is a senior at the Univerity of Toledo and will graduate in May 2014 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication with a focus in broadcasting and a minor in Spanish.  The Maumee High School graduate aspires to be a television news anchor.  Natasha is currently an intern at 13ABC in Toledo, Ohio and after college she plans on relocating to start he career in broadcasting.

Andy Heilman
Student Reporter

Andy is a senior in Communication focusing in broadcasting and production.  He is currently a Sports Intern at WTOL-11 CBS, as well as a Sports Reporter and Writer.  Andy has also interned for WGTE-30 PBS where he worked on documentaries and studio productions.  Andy has a passion for sports, and upon graduation, he hopes to work for ESPN.  He is also interested in working either behind or in front of the camera, for shows like the Ellen DeGeneres show.

Guyton Mathews
Student Reporter

Guyton is a senior with a double major in Communication and Political Science. He is originally from Chicago, Illinois.  Before coming to University of Toledo, Guyton studied at Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA.  He is involved with the Resident Student Association as the Public Relations Chair and is also a member of the faculty for a national diversity conference called the Student Diversity Leadership Conference.  Guyton has had two internships with political campaigns and is interested in working in Political Journalism, or even in Entertainment, for companies like CNN or MSNBC.  His hobbies include working out, cooking and watching movies.

Samantha Muirhead
Student Reporter

Sam is a dual major in Film/Video and Communication, who is nterested in television and film production and post-production.  She is currently employed by the Communication Department as part of the production team for the live coverage of Rocket men's and women's basketball games, and also serves as a TV production class Lab Assistant.  In addition, Samantha is the President of the University of Toledo Film and Video Society.  Her ultimate career goal is to be a film editor.

Gina Todd
Student Reporter

Gina Todd is a sophomore majoring in Communication with a focus in Broadcasting and a minor in Studio Art.  She is the President of the newly formed Beta Theta Chapter of Zeta Phi Eta, a National Professional Fraternity in the Communication Arts and Sciences.  Gina has always had a personal interest in entertainment and has been involved in a number of performances throughout her high school career.  Her goal is to land a career as a television host and producer like Ryan Seacrest!  With that being said, she is also interested in all aspects of broadcasting, and plans to focus on reporting, anchoring, directing, and producing.

Frank Vajcner
Student Reporter

Frank is a Senior majoring in Communication with a focus in broadcasting.  He is a returning UT:10 News veteran, having been a part of the Fall 2013 semester news team.  His goal is to get a job in sports broadcasting, covering hockey or basketball.  Frank is also a UT men's and women's basketball commentator for WXUT student radio station and writes about his favorite team, the Detroit Red Wings, for RedWings101.com.

Coty is a junior majoring in Communication.  His goal is to work in News Broadcasting as a Technical Director.  Coty is also an active member of the Ohio Army National Guard.
