Khyara Harris reports on the two robberies that occurred just off campus on Wednesday, April 10.
In the first incident, an individual described as a black male wearing a black sweatsuit, orange construction vest, and blue ski mask entered the Subway on Secor Road across from Rocket Hall just before 10:00 am carrying a shotgun. Employees locked themselves in the cooler, and the man escaped without any money.
In the second incident, a man described as a black male wearing a brown sweatshirt, black sweat pants, and a orange construction vest robbed the Cocoa Beach tanning salon in Rocket Plaza on Dorr Street later the same afternoon around 2:00. Although the man said he had a gun, Cocoa Beach employees did not see a weapon, and the man escaped with an undisclosed amount of money.
